2. App Features & Details
Bcee is designed to simplify group savings bookkeeping (commonly known as Kametis or Chit Funds). The key capabilities of the application include:
Ledger Tracking
Allows group managers to log member deposits, track monthly collection states, and document payouts.
Interactive Lucky Draw
Runs local, provably fair draws inside the app to select monthly payout winners transparently.
Real-time Progress
Dashboard charts detailing collection targets vs. actual cash collected.
Local Statement Generation
Generates clean PDF passbook receipts on-device for members to track their contributions.
3. Data We Collect & How It's Used
We believe in data minimization. Bcee only collects information necessary to deliver our core features:
- Account Credentials: Email addresses and password hashes collected during sign-up to authenticate group managers securely.
- Group Ledger Records: Names, mobile numbers, payment status, and payout records added by the group manager to compile the ledger.
- Device Model details: Basic anonymous system logs to assist with bug resolution and crash diagnostics.

Bcee does NOT sell, rent, or trade your ledger records, contact names, or mobile numbers with any third-party marketing brokers or advertisers.
4. Device Permissions
To run natively, Bcee requests the following permissions. You remain in complete control of these prompts:
- Biometric Authentication (Face ID / Touch ID): Used strictly to lock/unlock the app on launch. The actual biometric signature is processed entirely by the device's secure operating system API and is never transmitted or stored on our servers.
- Internet Access: Required to sync ledger updates to your secure Supabase database cloud instance.
- Local File Storage (Write Access): Used solely to save generated PDF statement receipts and CSV bookkeeping exports locally on your device for sharing.
5. Data Security
We establish industry-grade security measures to safeguard your information:
- Row-Level Security (RLS): Our database is locked down with strict PostgreSQL owner-only rules. Anonymous users cannot scrape or query any tables.
- Restricted Member Portal: Members can only view their own payment histories using a secure 6-character Passbook Code. A server-side RPC function prevents a member from accessing other members' financial records.
- Transport Encryption: All data sent between the mobile client and Supabase servers is protected using Secure Socket Layer (SSL/TLS) encryption.
7. Third-Party Services
We work with trusted services to host database infrastructures and deliver ads:
